Get On Board with Bohs Women’s Premier Division Team

32% Year on Year Increase in Bohs Women’s Premier Division Home Game Attendance
 
Dublin Bus and Bohemian Football Club are inviting you to come out and support the Women’s Premier Division team for the 2024 season. Click on the video for your invitation straight from the players to get on board and see for yourself the skills - the keepy uppies, the overhead kicks and the diving headies, goals, games and more. It’s all about support, so as they say themselves, bring your Ma, your Da, your granny and your pals, because this is gonna be the best one yet ... don’t say they didn’t warn you!

 

Marking the start of Dublin Bus’ second year as main shirt sponsor for Bohemian FC Women’s Premier Division team, Amputee Team and club Diversity & Inclusion partner, the evocative video features players Rachael Kelly, Fiona Donnelly and Alannah McEvoy narrating and their wider teammates calling for more of us to get out and support the women’s game this season. Kick-off for the first home game of the season at Dalymount Park is 3pm this Saturday, 16 March, when Bohs take on Athlone Town. Tickets are available from Bohemianfc.com.
 
This ground-breaking ‘Together We Are In A Different League’ partnership aims to tear down the barriers in football by elevating the women’s game, ensuring they get the support and visibility they deserve. 2023 saw a whopping 32%* year on year increase in home game attendance for the Bohs women’s games at Dalymount Park. Additionally, the club has seen an 11%* boost in players signing up for its youth girls teams in the last year.
 
Speaking about the continued partnership, Billy Hann, CEO of Dublin Bus, said “This partnership celebrates the shared values of Bohemian FC and Dublin Bus, two pillars of the Dublin community, especially in Dublin 7. We look forward to seeing the great work the club will do on and off the pitch again this season. Personally, I am excited to be in the stands at Dalymount Park this coming Saturday, cheering on Bohs for the first home game of the Women’s Premier Division against Athlone Town AFC.”
 
Daniel Lambert, Bohemian FC Chief Operating Officer, added: “this multi-faceted partnership, with a keen focus on the women’s game, is about recognising and championing all that is great about football. It’s ability to bring people together, to unite communities, and to celebrate inclusion and diversity in sport. This video is the perfect way to kick off our 2024 season as we once again aim to continue to increase the amount watching and indeed taking part in the female game in Ireland.”

A long-time advocate for diversity and inclusion, Dublin Bus recently announced that it will provide free period products to all employees. Additionally, the company recently launched its More Mná female recruitment campaign which aims to at least double the number of female drivers. They are holding monthly open days on 23 March, 13 April and 18 May 18 where potential recruits can meet current female drivers, learn about the role and also have the chance to test drive a bus.
